Wi-Fi Remote Controlled Helicopter

Here’s a DIY project that will allow you to fly your R/C helicopter or airplane using an iPphone. The basic premise involved connecting your iPhone to an Ethernet LAN network by means of a Linksys router.

Remote Controlled Toy Helicopter

Once the iPhone acquires an IP address, a pilot program on the Iphone would interface with the router using an SSH client/server setup.

The program would interpret the iPhone position and movements and transmit this data to one of the four Ethernet ports on the router which conveniently line up with the R/C toy movements of Rudder, Ailerons, Throttle, Elevator.

For full details of this cool project, be sure to check out the developer’s site.
